Alain Delecroix, born in 1953 is a French citizen. He holds an electronic engineering diploma from ENSEEIHT in Toulouse as well as business administration degrees from IAE Paris and INSEAD Fontainebleau.
Alain began his career in Matra Space where he was in charge of Telecommunication satellite projects. He joined Thomson-CSF in 1986 and he hold different management positions within the Telecommunication Division before he was appointed in 1992 Chairman and CEO of Thomson-CSF Space and services business (named T4S) . In 1998 he joined Alcatel when Thomson-CSF, Alcatel, Aerospatiale and Cegelec merged there space activities ; he was then appointed Senior Vice President and head of the ground and services business unit where he successfully merged the 4 companies as well as growth significantly and profitably the business ; in 2001 he moved to Alcatel Integration and Services Division as Senior Vice President in charge of the Asia Pacific Region based in Shanghai and Hong Kong where he secured the first ever contract for full network outsourcing with Telecom New Zealand as well as the largest full IP network migration contract with Telstra.
