Alex Dorrian is a graduate of Strathclyde University.

He joined Thales in 1999 as Senior Vice President in charge of Naval Systems. He was then appointed Deputy CEO for Defence and Chief Executive of Thales UK. Before that, Alex held various positions with UK naval engineering company Yard, BAeSEMA and British Aerospace.
