Patrick Mauté, born in 1957, is a French citizen and a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique (X 77) and SupAero 82. He began his career in the department of mission analysis, system engineering and advanced projects in 1982; He is the father of 5 Patents, among which Meteosat Second Generation conceptual design and first geostationary gyro-stellar AOCS concept.
From 1992 to 1999, Patrick Mauté was Météosat Seconde Génération (MSG) Project Manager. From the early competitive phase until delivery of the Flight Model N°1.
From 2000 to 2004, Patrick Mauté was Director of Satellites Programs in the Business Unit Observation & Science. He coordinated the BU business acquisition and offers. He was in charge of main programs as Jason-1, Herschel Planck, Spirale, Proteus platforms Product Line and related projects as Calipso, Corot, SMOS.
In the domain of Business Acquisition, Patrick Mauté implemented the cooperation between Alcatel and Alenia in Science advanced projects, joint preparation of the winning Herschel Planck and GOCE proposals
He prepared and negociated the proposals for Proteus 5 platforms, Corot, SMOS, Jason-2, Mars Premier (CNES), MSG-4 and Earth Explorers Preparatory Phases (ESA), SPIRALE offer for the Defense Government Agency (DGA).
