In 1976 just after being graduated at the University degli studi di Roma, Laurea in Engineering Telecommunications, he joined Selenia Development Laboratories where he gained a large experience in Signal Processing as responsible of the design of some Digital Signal Processors for Military surveillance Radar.
In the same period he was responsible of a research activity, in cooperation with CSELT, for redundancy reduction of satellites images for the European Space Agency.

After this initial activity he spent a very long period of time working in Selenia System Engineering Department, first as Project Leader of several Selenia Two dimensional and Tri-dimensional Surveillance Radar, Air Traffic Control Radar, Meteorological Radar and Naval Radar then as Responsible of the Radar System Engineering Department.
Later he has been appointed Engineering Director of AMS Naval System Division developing activities for Naval Systems and Naval Command and Control Systems. After this experience he joined Alenia Spazio where he was first responsible of the Company Risk Management and then became Vice President  and General Manager of Remote Sensing Business Unit.

In July 2005 he has been designated Senior Vice President & General Manager of the transnational Business Unit Observation Systems & Radar.

He was born in 1951 and has three sons
