September 25, 2006 - More than 100 kg of ETCA on board electronics on MetOp-A satellite
Thales Alenia Space ETCA has contributed with more than 100 kg of electronics on board of MetOp-A satellite.
ETCA has delivered equipment for conditioning and distribution of the electrical power on board MetOp, contributed to the Thermal control of the payload and provided the equipement Ascat-EPC for the power supply of the high power amplifier dedicated to the instrument "Scatterometer".
July 2006 - Contract awarded to Thales Alenia Space Antwerp for the Galileo MDDN project
The Mission Data Dissemination Network (MDDN) will support the Galileo Mission ground segment data circulation. The MDDN is an assembly of network elements and services. The network elements are built over commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products that shall be configured or equipped in a way to obtain optimised and stable performances together with the supplied services. The MDDN missions are multiple. The key is to provision of the communications services required by the Galileo Mission. Thales Alenia Space Antwerp will perform all necessary activities for the MDDN Element design, development, qualification and delivery, including warranty and associated services and tools, for the GALILEO Phases C/D/E1 of the GMS.
