From 1997 to January 2007, he was President of the Alcatel Transport Solutions activity, focused on world-wide signalling activity for railways (main lines and urban rail).
From 1996 to 1997 he was COO of Alcatel TAS Canada (lead house in Mass Transit)
From 1995 to 1996 was Chairman and CEO of Alcatel Research Centre in Marcoussis (France)
From 1987 to 1995, he worked in Alcatel as Director of Software Technology
From 1985 to 1987, he was Director in the French Research Ministry
He started his career in the space and aeronautics research where he moved up to the rank of Director of Automation Division of ONERA (National Research Centre in Aeronautics and Space). During the academic year 1976-1977, he was assistant professor at the University of California Berkeley in control theory.
