Olivier Houssin is Executive Vice President of Thales, Security & Services. He is also Executive Vice President Security Solutions & Services Division.

Olivier Houssin is a graduate of École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications. His career began at Thomson-CGR with General Manager responsibilities in Italy and in the United States, before becoming Executive Vice President of Thomson Consumer Electronics.

He joined Alcatel-Lucent in 1992 as President of Alcatel-Lucent's Cables activities in North America and then President of the Telecom Products activities (1996-1998). He went on to become President of Alcatel-Lucent's e-Business business, joining Alcatel-Lucent's Executive Committee in 2000.

Before the Thales-Alcatel agreement, he was Executive Vice President of Alcatel-Lucent, President of the Private Communications activities and supervising the Enterprise, Transport, Space, Services and Industrial Components activities.
He joined Thales in January 2007 as Executive Vice President, Commercial and Security Operations in charge of the civil businesses of Thales.
In this responsibility, he leads the Security Solutions & Services Division and supervises the satellites activities.

Since May 1st 2008, Olivier Houssin, EVP Security and Services, has furthermore a group wide coordination responsibility for transverse activities in Security & Services: relevant dual technologies (C2/C4, PMR, cryptography, synthetic environment etc), multi-division Security projects, border surveillance, as well as services activities.
Olivier Houssin is member of the Executive Committee of Thales.
