Senior Vice President and General Manager Business Unit Navigation & Integrated Communications

Sergio Greco is an Italian citizen and has a Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome, and a Doctorate in Applied Electromagnetism at the University of Rome.

He joined Selenia group in 1981 as System Engineer in the area of microwaves and Telecommunication Payload.

From 1982 to 1986 he was involved as a System Manager and Project Responsible of O/A Communications Payload/RF Sensing for the ESA Olympus program. From 1987-89 he was the head of project "Radar Altimeter" of EM/FM models embarked on ESA ERS-1 Earth Observation Satellite.

From 1990 to 1996 he became Alenia Spazio Executive Program Director of ESA Artemis Telecommunication Satellite from Phase A up to flight model launch.

In 1997 he became Executive Director of BU Telecommunications & Navigation in Alenia Spazio participating to the foundation of Galileo Industries SA of which he was member of the Board as well as responsible of the Italian Branch.

Since 2000 Sergio Greco was Vice President and General Manager of the Navigation and Integrated Communications Business Unit, extensively following business opportunities for Space, Ground, User Segment with European and foreigners partners.

Since July 15th 2005 he has been nominated Senior Vice President & General Manager Business Unit Navigation & Integrated Communications of Alcatel Alenia Space.

Sergio Greco is:
- Member of AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association),
- Member of Italian Professional "Albo degli Ingegneri" since 1981,
- Member of the Board of The Italian Navigation Institute,
- Member of Advisory Editorial Board of Galileo's World and GPS World Magazine,
- Deputy Director of AESS Operations - Italy and Western Europe of the IEEE,
- Member of the Shareholders Bureau of Galileo Industries.
