As a teenager, I was always making various electronic gadgets and I looked forward to making it my career but as electronics and software was only just beginning to be taught in schools, I elected to study Physics with Electronics at University. I chose a final year project that would cover both hardware and software.

For my first job at Standard Telephone Labs, I sought out a post that would again cover both hardware and software. Then, at Raytheon I developed an understanding of bids and programme work.

At Nortel Networks I had a new role as a Programme/Business Manager for an internal design support group and then as Hardware Manager of a team working on optical products.

At e-Security, my hardware work gains from my experience with software too.
