David-Claude Pichavet holds an engineering degree from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA-Lyon) as well as an Excecutive MBA from CESMA Tokyo. He started his engineering career with Heurtey Industry Group as HVAC project manager for Bouygues Construction Company in 1982 in the Middle East. He then joined Thomson-CSF/DSE Division mid 1985 as an Air Defense engineer for the Al Thakeb contract in Saudi Arabia.
In 1989, he joined the Group's International Operations (THINT) and created the Corporate Delegation office in Oman. In 1993, he became Head of the Asean Region managing eight Group Delegations and was responsible for business development and the formation of strategic industrial partnerships. In 1997, he was appointed Corporate Country Director in Riyadh and then joined Thales Training & Simulation in 2001 as VP Sales & Marketing focusing on Strategic Key Accounts with OEM platform manufacturers. During his 22 years serving Export Customers, he promoted the full breadth of Thales Group offering and expertise in both Civil and Defense.
